This weekend, my parents flew over from Montana for a visit. We walked around Greenlake, visited Volunteer Park and the Sculpture Garden, did a little shopping, and played some games. But mostly they were here to see little miss Kate. She loved being the center of attention for three days. Here they are with the flowers in the greenhouse at Volunteer Park.
Don't forget to watch the very cute video below of Katelynn playing with Grandpa.

5 months
Just wanted to share a couple of photos from yesterday when Katelynn turned 5 months old. She can sit up pretty good these days. We just use a boppy pillow around her in case she takes a dive. She had a dr visit on Tuesday and was up to 13 lbs 5 oz, maintaining that 15-20th percentile. In honor of turning 5 months old, we finally got out the 3-6 month size sleepers. This outfit, though, is still all 0-3 months! She's a cute little thing.

New Photos
Katelynn got an exersaucer a couple of weeks ago. She loves it! She must have short legs though, because I had to maneuver it to be shorter than the shortest setting so her legs can touch. Today, her favorite thing to do was chew on the star.
And here is me with my girl for my first Mother's Day. Katelynn had a pretty rough day that day, but I was sure glad to be her mother.
Coming soon: hopefully I can capture her rolling over on video! Today she rolled from her back to her front FOUR times. And she is getting sooo close to sitting up independently. She did almost a minute on her own the other day. You go, girl!

Reflux
At her four month check-up, we discussed Katelynn's eating problems with the doctor and we think Katelynn has reflux. She started some meds but they don't seem to be helping much, so we've also started seeing a feeding specialist at the SLP clinic. For those of you who may be confused, speech therapy=oral motor issues, which is why they can also evaluate your suck and swallow. The cool part is that Katelynn's Aunt Stephanie works in the SLP office so we got to see her again the other day. And, the SLP recommended starting solids so here it goes! She's not real good at actually keeping it in her mouth yet, but she seems to enjoy it.
